Event 14 January 2008. CC-PH license launching. The Creative Commons Philippine jurisdictional licenses and the Philippine Commons are set to be formally launched on 14 January 2008 at the Arellano University School of Law.

Event 21 December 2007. Catalysts of Change: an Open Dialogue with the Legendary Leaders of Asia. Berne Guerrero was set to attend the 21 December 2007 event at the AIM-WB Global Distance Learning Center. The Asian Institute of Management and the World Bank’s Development Resource Center (AIM-WB DRC) organized the event. The next sessions will be on the 4th weeks of January, February and March 2008.

 Event 4 September 2007. Economic Freedom of the World Report 2007 Launch. Four September 2007 will mark the global release of the Economic Freedom of World (EFW) report 2007. While The Fraser Institute, the Centre for Civil Society and Economic Freedom Network Asia will launch the report in New Delhi, India, the Friedrich Naumann Foundation together with the Foundation for Economic Freedom and the Center for Research and Communication will launch the first Philippine edition of the EFW report at 7:30 p.m. at the Dusit Hotel Nikko, Makati City. Application deadline 31 August 2007. International Academy for Leadership Replication Seminar in the Philippines. The Friedrich Naumann Foundation’s International Academy for Leadership (IAF) Alumni Group invites educators, school administrators, government officials and civil society groups involved in education to join its first IAF replication seminar in Antulang Beach Resort, Dumaguete City, Negros Oriental from 26-29 September. Entitled “Education in the Philippines: Liberal Perspectives,” the seminar will discuss the current situation, what it should be and what are the liberal solutions. [ read more ]
